Miles of Smiles

Miles of Smiles is a grant-funded project based out of the School of Dentistry at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio. Their program seeks to expand access to dental services and promote oral health for children in the Laredo area.

I created their site based off existing logo work created previously by a graphic designer. Because they are targeting low-income users, I knew it was very important to make this site operate well on mobile browsers, since many of them would only use their mobile device to access the internet. I used the Zurb Foundation grid to quickly set up a responsive grid that resizes according to device size. The site is filled with colorful photography taken from participants in the program. 

Future enhancements to this site include a bilingual (Spanish) version that is currently in development.
