Jazz Band I Program

Texas A&M-Kingsville's many music ensembles are nationally recognized. Jazz Band I is the premier jazz ensemble at the university. The ensemble was invited to perform at the 2009 TMEA convention held annually in San Antonio. This program accompanied their performance.

As part of their performance, Jazz Band I Premiered a piece entitled "Slipstream". With that in consideration, I created a program that features motion blurs prominently as the background of the entire program. The original image is actually the portrait of the entire jazz band featured in the interior of the program.

The program itself features a full-color cover with the guts in two-color. The entire program features a satin aqueous coating to add to the sleek feel evoked by the piece being premiered that night.

The program received a Silver ADDY in 2010.
